Loughborough University Arts provides subsidised music tuition offered to students selected via open auditions. Those selected receive thirty minutes' tuition per week for twenty weeks. The cost of this would be £250, but via the scheme, students only pay a £55 registration fee.
Tuition is offered in singing, piano, guitar, violin, flute, brass, clarinet, cello and saxophone. It is expected that students who benefit from the scheme will take an active part in the musical life of the University, by joining groups such as the orchestra, choir or concert band. Because of the high demand for places, we do not cater for beginners.
