Here you will see details of opportunities for creative collaboration that often transcend the boundaries of media and discipline. Looking to try something a little bit out of the box? This might be just what you're looking for.
Dr Simon Hogg is Senior Lecturer in Loughborough University's Department of Materials, but when he's not busy being an outstanding academic his ongoing passion is the construction and modification of a modular synthesiser. Dr Hogg is keen to explore unusual uses for his creation, and is seeking collaborators to push some creative boundaries.
He is particularly interested in working with a stringed instrument player (e.g. violin, viola, cello) on a musical collaboration, but is equally happy to investigate other instruments. He would also be pleased to hear from any art students interested in producing an audio/audiovisual piece or installation (the LU Arts facilities would be made available for this) that would experiment with the synthesiser.
