University Choir

The University Choir is open to all staff and students of the University, and to members of the public aged 16 and over. The choir meets every Monday evening during term time from 7pm to 9pm in the Cope Auditorium. Each year the Choir gives two or three public performances, including their annual Christmas and Spring concerts. New members are welcome to join for free at any time!

Strings That Sing Orchestra

Strings That Sing is Loughborough’s String Orchestra, which meets every Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm, during term time, in the Cope Auditorium rehearsal room. They play a wide range of music, including Baroque, Light Classical, Jazz and Film music.

The Stage Society is a thriving society with over 120 members, and is open to anyone interested in the theatre, regardless of experience. It provides the opportunity for members to be involved with and learn about many aspects of the theatre. As well as the chance to perform on stage, members can adopt technical roles to discover the experience of backstage work first hand. The most recent productions were critical successes and played to packed houses. Alongside the theatrical productions of the society there are also regular theatre trips, pub crawls, workshops and social events organised.
