There are seven music practice rooms on campus which are free to use and open every day from 8am to 10pm. To access these practice rooms you will need to join our FREE Music VIP club.

Throughout the year we put on music events including Student Live Lounge - an open mic night in the Students' Union - one-off music workshops and the music scholars’ recital.

Loughborough University has a vibrant music scene, with a wide range of student music societies, including LSU Classical, Tuxedo Swing, MuSoc, Your Sound, LSU Sing and RockSoc.

If you are a talented and dedicated musician, then you might want to apply for a music scholarship, which are available in any genre of music including instrumental, vocal and singer-songwriter. Scholars receive a cash prize of £100 and a support package of up to £500 to develop your talent further. This could be used for things like music tuition, mentoring or attending live events.
