During the Market Town project we will not only be delivering the main artist commissions and a regular programme of workshops and seminars, but as of 22nd August we will be occupying a unit in the Carillon Court Shopping Centre! The space, which we have called the Market Town Corner, has a fantastic town centre location and will be used to consult the community on the future design and operation of their town.
It contains films, books, and information and will be open Thursday to Saturday, 10am - 5pm, until February 2016. The venue provides a space where the local community can engage with Market Town and submit their ideas about how Loughborough should develop in the future. At the end of the project, these ideas will be collated to produce a newspaper highlighting the main concerns and suggestions voiced by local residents.
You can find out more about the Market Town project and the associated artists and architects here.
Many of our free events will be taking place in the venue - to find out more visit our Eventbrite page.
